In 1983, a new " Microchange" theme was introduced, under which all but a few of the robots and vehicles made to interact with the figures would have the ability to disguise themselves as ordinary household objects. Thus Microman's impact on the global boys' toy market, little-known outside Japan, can scarcely be overestimated. Robotman, the first toy to transform from a robot to a vehicle, was added to the line in 1975. Robotman with a 3.75" Microman pilot visible in his chestįirst released in 1974, Microman was the first line of poseable 3.75" figures. It is also the immediate ancestor of Diaclone, the 1.25" chromed-head Diaclone drivers being a one-third scale version of Microman just as Microman was to Henshin Cyborg. Joe A Real American Hero line, which used construction identical to the modified Microman construction developed by Mego for licensed character figures after bringing Microman to the West as the Micronauts line. Joe molds licensed to Takara and cast in transparent plastic, and the ancestor of Hasbro's 3.75" G.I. Joe toy line via the Henshin Cyborg line, based on original G.I. Strangely enough, it is both a descendant of Hasbro's 12" G.I. It consists of 3.75" action figures whose hallmarks are being highly articulated for their size and distinctive chromed head, along with vehicles and accessories. Microman is one of two Takara toy lines (the other being Diaclone) from which the original Transformers toys came. These figures have a reputation for being a bit fragile: as such this figure is being sold “AS IS”. The figure has not been removed from the packaging, but due to the tape being split it is being sold as “Mint On Card” and NOT “Mint On Sealed Card”. The figure comes on the card, but as you can see the tape on the back has split due to age. These figures are super articulated, and compliment other 3.75″ scale figures such as G.I. TAKARA released total of five figures for AVP line including two Aliens figures MA-13 Alien Warrior Type and MA-14 Alien Queen Type, plus three Predators figures MA-15 Elder, MA-16 Scar and MA-17 Celtic The test shots and promotion photos of the figures were greeted with much delight by fans of both AVP and Microman figures since these pictures show not only a highly details but also super-articulated Micro versions of these cult favorite movie icons. The series was delay several times and finally was released in late June of 2005. However, 2004 came and went and the AVP series never made the appearance. Then prototype pictures and sketch of the figures started to surface and the rumor was confirm that there was indeed Microman AVP line the work. Though the rumor was not entirely unfound since TAKARA did release the then un-likely Microman versions of DC Comics Batman. When the words got out in late 2004, that TAKARA plan to release Microman Micro Action Series versions of the Aliens and Predators from AVP movie most fans were very skeptical.
